Humata tyermannii, Rabbit’s foot fern

£22.50

This fern takes moisture and oxygen from the furry rhizomes, so when repotting, make sure not to bury them.

It may shed during the winter, but don’t worry- brand new foliage will appear when the next growing season comes around.

While this fern loves a bright environment, it is hardy enough to handle a spot in rooms with a little less sun.

Its best displayed as a hanging plant our plants come in a 17 cm pot.

Essential care:

Temperature: This fern prefers average to warm household temperatures , between 18-24 Celsius, but do not allow to fall lower than 10 Celsius. Avoid cold draughts.

Watering: Keep the soil of your Humata moist at all times. Do not overwater however, as this can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Loves higher humidity levels and are ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Mist regularly for best results.

Light: The Rabbit’s foot fern prefers bright, indirect light but will tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight.

Feeding: Liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during the growing season. Do not over-feed.
